Yesterday Peter Henning had a post entitled: "Is This a Federal Crime?" The post raised a fascinating crime and federalism issue that I'm going to blog about. What Professor Henning did not note was that he is among the top 4 or 5 experts in the field. [The other experts are George Brown, Richard Garnett, Tim Lynch, and someone else whose name escapes me].
Prof. Henning wrote an interesting article last year entitled "Federalism and the Prosecution of State and Local Officials," one of only a handfull of law review articles on crime and federalism, and one that any person interested in the field must read. Indeed, had the lawyers referenced in Prof. Henning's post turned off the TV and picked up Prof. Henning's article, we might have one less convicted felon.
Anyhow, since Prof. Henning's modesty prevented him from singing his own praise, I figured I'd sing it for him.
