Recently a partisan group of 160-law professors sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committe telling its members that John Roberts embodies all that is wrong with the world. I didn't find the letter very persuasive (it was laughable, actually), but I couldn't quite put my finger on why it was unpersuasive. Tung Yin does so in this post.
