Extreme Lawsuit

The producers of Extreme Makeover promised a wife and mother of two a complete makeover.  They needed her family to cooperate: "Tell us mean things about her.  Tell the camera how ugly she is.  Oh, don't be shy.  Hell, make stuff up!  After her surgery, she'd feel better because she wouldn't feel so ugly."  The family cooperated.  The Texas mom listened to it all.

The night before the makeover, producers learned that the woman's post-dental surgery recovery would take longer than expected.  Her recovery didn't quite fit show's schedule, and  so the woman was sent packing.  She has filed a lawsuit.  I hope she wins.

Some will say this is yet another frivolous lawsuit.  I disagree.  The producers of Extreme Makeover used Ms. Williams and her family to make a buck.  The producers of Extreme Makeover do not care about helping people, or helping them relalize their dreams: they care about ratings, which means advertising dollars.

In our capitalist system people help each other make money.  The Williams family tried helping the producers of Extreme Makeover make money.  It was Extreme Makeover that pulled out.  They should be forced to pay.
