View From The Ground is an online journal focusing on Chicago's public housing complexes, and is written from the perspective of those living in the projects. One of The View's journalists, Jamie Kalven, is in the midst of a subpoena fight over his notes for a long series of pieces he did on a group of allegedly abusive Chicago Police officers.
