In 2009 alone, federal judges have identified several cases of prosecutorial misconduct. All of these prosecutors are still serving with the Department of Justice:

On a good blogging week, I might spend an hour searching for cases and news stories on prosecutorial misconduct. Most weeks, I spend zero hours. Even through casual reserch, one can see the prosecutorial misconduct is a huge problem.
Are you paying attention to the federal prosecutors who appear in your courtrooms? If you weren't paying attention, please start. It's obvious that DOJ is unwilling to keep its own house clean. Where the Department of Justice is concerned, self-policing is a contradiction in terms.
