Major in Black Homophobia at Morehouse College

Proving that blacks remain the Made Men of minority groups, Morehouse College has admitted to openly discriminating against gay and transgendered students without a single column from the New York Times.  Meanwhile, CNN and other media outlets have been busy attacking Rush Limbaugh for racist statements he did not even make.

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- An all-male college in Atlanta, Georgia, has banned the wearing of women's clothes, makeup, high heels and purses as part of a new crackdown on what the institution calls inappropriate attire....

No dress-wearing is part of a larger dress code launched this week that Morehouse College is calling its "Appropriate Attire Policy."

The dress-wearing ban is aimed at a small part of the private college's 2,700-member student body, said Dr. William Bynum, vice president for Student Services."

We are talking about five students who are living a gay lifestyle that is leading them to dress a way we do not expect in Morehouse men," he said.

The homophobia issue is almost being entirely ignored by the mainstream media.  Instead, there is a focus on the "freedom" of students who voluntarily attend a private college to "express themselves" by wearing pajama pants in the school's cafeteria.  That's a non-issue.  If you attend a private college, you agree to be bound by the private college's code of conduct.

That gays must dress as "Morehouse men," however, seems unworthy of any attention.

When blacks overwhelmingly voted to deny gays equal rights in California, liberals kept quiet.  Liberals held many protests at the Mormon Temple- even though Mormons, unlike California's blacks, were not numerous enough to tilt the Prop 8 scale against gays.  There wasn't a single protest at any Los Angeles' many homophobic black churches.

What will Barack Obama say about the open discrimination against gays?  What will the New York Times, CNN, and San Francisco Chronicle say about Morehouse's assertion that a cross-dresser is not worthy of the title: "Morehouse man"?
